Catching up on my life here

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post another blog post. I ran into some problems with my laptop which mad it difficult to post anything. I will post pictures as soon as I can buy that is still difficult to do without a laptop.
Since I posted last I celebrated christmas, la feria de Calí and new years. After New Years I left Calí to spend a day and a half in Bogotá. In Bogotá I was able to meet up with a old friend and some new friends. After my quick stay in Bogotá I was off to Cumbaya, Ecuador (close to Quito, the capital), where I would call home for the next 5 months. I flew in on Friday night where I was greeted by my aunt, uncle, and cousin. I had two days to rest and get settled in because I started work and school on Monday.
That Monday, I went to see the school that I was going to be teaching at and to finally meet the director. I found out that I was going to teaching English to 2 of her 4 year olds classes. I was very excited especial since I had just been teaching ELD (English-Language Development) during my student teaching. I asked the director if she had a curriculum for me to follow and she said no, I can decide what i want to teach.
Then on Tuesday I went to the university to take a Spanish placement test. I was placed in intermediate grammar and intermediate conversation two days a week. That Wednesday was my first day of classes at the university and my first English lesson for the kids at the preschool.
My classes are going well at the university as well as at the preschool. This week I had a meeting with the directors of the preschool to help them revamp their behavior system and a few other changes that could be made to help improve their preschool. I can't wait to start implementing these changes and to see the transformation that takes place while I'm here.
I think you are all up to date on what is going on in my life and I will keep you updated on a more regular basis from here on out. Also I will post pictures as soon as possible.
